Bio

Hi, I’m Joshua! I earned my B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, but my scientific journey really started back in high school when my biotech teacher made PCR sound cooler than any sci-fi gadget. Born and raised in San Francisco, I’ve been curious about how living systems work ever since.

Outside the lab, I keep myself busy with hobbies that range from artsy to adventurous: photography (yes, I shot my own graduation photos), biking around the city, reading, cooking experiments that usually turn out edible, making gelato, and playing music whenever I need a reset.

As for the future, I’m still exploring where science will take me. Lately, I’m leaning toward becoming a biology teacher—because if a single high school class could hook me on science, maybe I can return the favor for the next generation.
